Translated from Tibetan by Adriano Clemente
The Invocation of Samantabhadra (Kun tu bzang po’i smon lam) belongs to the cycle of the Northern Treasures (Byang gter) called The Unimpeded State of Samantabhadra (Kun bzang dgongs pa zang thal). The invocation contains an exceptionally clear explanation of the principles of the Dzogchen teaching: how we transmigrate from our real nature and fall into dualism, how we have developed dualism, and how we can overcome it to return to our original state. Reciting the Invocation of Samantabhadra, especially on specific days and under specific conditions, can be of benefit for all sentient beings. It is particularly effective to recite it during solar eclipses, earthquakes, and solstices or at the turn of the year.
